Texas Managing Editors

Texas Managing Editors sponsors the Buster Haas Minority lnternship Program, which aims to increase the number of minority journalists working in newsrooms across Texas.

TME places interns at Texas newspapers with circulations of 30,000 or less for 10 weeks over the summer. Students receive $3,000 stipends, plus $1,000 for living expenses. Upon successful completion of the internship, students receive $500 scholarships.

Our deepest apologies for the trouble with the contest website. There’s a long explanation about how the host moved, which caused difficulty with our secure site certificate, and how our attempts to resolve things have gone unanswered. The upshot is we’ve managed to get the contest site up by squatting on our webmaster’s domain — three cheers to Trent! You can continue your contest entries through Monday, Jan. 29, at this URL: https://tme-awards.spoffordfamily.com.

We will have a permanent, reliable domain and URL to share with you in 2025. Again, we are sorry for the delay in getting this resolved and sincerely appreciate your patience.
